Note: This is a slight modification of the famous CrossFit workout “The Chief”. The equal part work to rest encourages maximum power output and intensity. Mens barbell weight is up to 135lb. and women’s is up to 95lb. Check your fitness journals for your score on this workout from January 2, 2014.

Our friend JC Hertz, author of the book “Learning to Breathe Fire” wrote a great article in Time Magazine which referenced an “old school” CrossFit Journal by Greg Amundson about the early days of CrossFit. Much of the content about the early days of CrossFit for JC’s book came from numerous interviews with Greg and “original Athlete” Naomi Silva.
