Program Update:

We are excited to announce a new program schedule and direction for Krav Maga Santa Cruz. Beginning on Monday, August 17, 2015, we will be offering a “Mixed Level” Krav Maga class on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This class is open to all graduates of a formal Phase Class. The Monday and Wednesday evening classes will focus on conditioning, heavy-bag work (Bas Rutten Boxing CD) and a variety of combative drills using focus mitts, tombstone and kick shields. Each class will also include a Warrior Yoga warm-up and cool-down. This class will be very physically challenging and will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Heavy bag gloves with full-finger protection 12oz. or more are REQUIRED for every class. The Monday and Wednesday evening classes are FREE to all current CrossFit Pleasure Point Athletes.

In addition to the Monday and Wednesday evening classes, Krav Maga Santa Cruz will be offering weekend Phase Seminars lasting in length between 4 and 8 hours. These seminars will follow the traditional Krav Maga Worldwide FORCE and Phase Training outline and curriculum. A seminar will focus on one specific block of material such as  “Stick Defense” or “Long-gun Defense”. The seminars will include a dynamic warm-up, review of combative skills, instruction on technique, stress drills for retention and finally a dynamic test. Formal certificates of participation and/or successful graduation (ie. passing the test) will be awarded. Seminars are open to all prior graduates of a Phase Class and will be mixed level. Law Enforcement Only seminars will also be offered.

Krav Maga Santa Cruz will be accepting new Athletes on a case by case basis. At least three months of the Krav Maga conditioning class will be required before entry into the Phase Seminars.
